Chicago Economics
Virtual Museum
Over the years, generous supporters have invested in documenting the history and legacy of the study of economics at the University of Chicago. This collections is a representation of the Chicago Economics Experience located in Saieh Hall for Economics, highlighting contributions of UChicago economists to the field and to the world at large.
While it is essential to recall the valuable contributions of UChicago Economics throughout history, it is equally important to understand that those many powerful ideas are still shaping economics today, as exemplified by the diverse fields of inquiry driving current scholarship. Of course, UChicago’s influence extends well beyond Hyde Park. There are likely few, if any, research programs today that are not somehow influenced by UChicago Economics, and the same will undoubtedly hold true in the future.
